In the order that these actions happen:
Sourcing is the process of identifying and attracting candidates. Both searching and matching can play a role here.
Searching uses human-specific queries. In other words, the recruiter tells the software their exact needs and it delivers documents that meet those specific criteria.
Matching is a fully automated process. It takes a document, such as a resume or job posting, determines the relevant criteria, and returns the best matches. Matching automates the heavy lifting, generating queries and scoring results.
We believe in transparency and reliability which is why we combine human intelligence with artificial intelligence. Systems that “learn” from recruiter behavior can quickly go astray due to poor performers or invalid assumptions about intentions. For example, a system can’t tell why the recruiter reviewed a particular profile or what they really thought about what they saw. Likewise, a perfectly matching candidate might not be chosen due to unrelated reasons, such as availability. That’s why we curate our algorithms meticulously, with human expertise behind every decision, so we can explain every detail.
Bias has no place in our matching algorithm. We’re all about objectivity. We rank candidates based on objective data points, scientifically and transparently scored against job requirements. Our semantic search even includes both feminine and masculine job titles automatically. We’re committed to a level playing field where everyone has an equal chance to shine.
